Diagnosis

Merry Xmas, 2014

The vet confirmed what had seemed likely. The limp that wasn't going away was osteosarcoma, or bone cancer. Apparently 'the worst possible diagnosis'

I listened from faraway as the sweet and tiny fast talking vet explained options, and amputations and radiology and life expectancy.

3-4 months.

I'd stayed home from visiting family, not wanting to leave her this christmas.

I went to a friends. It was a bad idea. But Luca looked very cute in her ridiculous Xmas hat.

I thought about the options.
